Medicine Making On The Farm!
Fire Cider is a popular folk recipe that blends apple cider vinegar, honey, and a melange of herbs and spices to create a potent brew that can be enjoyed throughout the year. While some companies have tried to commercialize and patent this tradition, it continues to be an easy form of "Kitchen Witchery" that anyone with a cutting board and a pantry can create!
Join us at Birdseed Gardens (700 Harbor Rd in Shelburne) from 2-4pm on October 7th. Learn how (and why!) to make your very own personalized version of this cold-season staple.
In this class, we will get to choose from a variety of herbs (many grown on the farm!) and learn their individual capacities to keep us healthy. We'll also experiment with some fun and creative ways to enjoy the Fire Cider we create!
--Class is sliding scale, $15-$30, and includes all the *magic* materials. Please bring your own pint or quart jar!
See you on the farm!
Of course, you can stay at the farm after the class to join us for our annual Woodlandia bonfire and potluck!
